Structural Characteristics and Selection of Rotary SwitchesIssuing time:2018-06-20 00:00 Zhongshan Baiqiao household appliances switch is widely used in electric fans, juice extractors, frying pans, electric heaters, ovens, ventilation fans, water cookers and other household appliances. Common band switches and shift switches of multimeter are rotary switches. There are two kinds of switch structures (see Figure 1). One is BBM (Break Before Make) contact type. Its characteristic is that the moving contact first disconnects the front contact before it is connected, then the connection after it is connected. There is a state in which both front and back contacts are disconnected. The other is MBB (Make BeforeBreak) contact type, which is characterized by commutation. The position-time moving contact has a state of contact with both front and rear contacts, and then disconnects the front contacts to maintain contact with the rear contacts. In the circuit design, the appropriate rotary switch should be selected according to the circuit usage and circuit safety. Rotary switches can be used to replace the rotating pulse generators of the analog functions of traditional resistive potentiometers. These rotating switches are usually used in the human-machine interface of the front panel of the instrument and the audio-visual control board. The rotary switches use orthogonal optical encoders as pure digital devices instead of analog potentiometers. These rotating switches are similar in appearance to traditional or resistive potentiometers, but these rotating switches are similar in appearance to traditional or resistive potentiometers. The internal structure of the switch is fully digitized and optical technology is used. Similar to traditional incremental encoder products, there are two orthogonal output signals (channel A and channel B), which can be directly connected to the encoder processing chip. |
